On December 12, the Yongjia Pump and Valve Industry Development Exchange Meeting of the "Light of Hope" Integrated Talent Support Team was held at the Wenzhou System Process Equipment Science Research Institute. The meeting aimed to effectively leverage the talent leadership and collaborative innovation role of the support team in driving the development of Yongjia County's leading industries and comprehensively advance the high-quality enhancement of Yongjia's pump and valve sector. County leaders Yao Hai and Xu Xiang attended the exchange meeting.

To thoroughly implement the spirit of the provincial talent work conference, the Provincial Talent Office and the Provincial Association for Science and Technology jointly introduced the "Light of Hope" policy, establishing integrated talent support teams for mountainous and island counties. These teams are structured in the form of "academician and expert teams + provincial academic (professional) associations + talent stations." Their main task is to effectively harness the guiding role of talent, provide targeted support to align with and assist the industrial development of various counties, promote the expansion and strengthening of the "one county, one industry" initiative in the 29 mountainous and island counties of Zhejiang Province, and achieve industrial base advancement and industrial chain modernization. As the supporting unit of the talent support team for Yongjia, the Zhejiang Provincial Association of Automation will leverage its disciplinary strengths, pool high-quality resources, recommend and connect experts for the talent support team, facilitate communication between Yongjia and team members, organize activities such as consulting services, technical research, and academic exchanges for the experts, and cooperate with Yongjia in talent recruitment and training, as well as the transformation of scientific and technological achievements.

Yao Hai, Member of the Standing Committee of the County Party Committee and Director of the Organization Department, emphasized that Yongjia is a dynamic city of innovation and entrepreneurship. It has nurtured four pillar industries—pump and valve, footwear and apparel, educational toys, and buttons and zippers—and boasts five national-level industrial golden name cards. Yongjia has successfully ranked among the top 30 counties (cities, districts) in Zhejiang Province for development potential and has been recognized as one of China’s top 100 counties for investment potential, "Two Mountains" (green development) advancement, and innovation. Yongjia is also a city that highly values and cherishes talent, with a strong supportive atmosphere. The county party committee and government regard talent recruitment and cultivation as a core strategy in the new era, focusing on policy guidance, talent attraction and development, and platform construction. They are deeply advancing initiatives to accelerate talent development, striving to provide comprehensive support and guarantees for the work and lives of all types of talent. During the meeting, experts from the "Light of Hope" talent support team for the pump and valve industry, experts from Yongjia’s pump and valve industry "Doctoral Innovation Stations," and specially invited experts engaged in in-depth discussions with representatives from ten pump and valve enterprises, including Zhejiang Bertel Technology Co., Ltd. Topics centered on enterprise digital transformation, automation development, and technical challenges. The discussions provided insights, guidance, and support to advance the high-quality leapfrog development of Yongjia’s pump and valve industry.
