On October 13, the 2nd China (Wenzhou) International Pump and Valve Exhibition, jointly organized by the China Machinery Industry Federation, the Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the Wenzhou Municipal Government, and undertaken by the Wenzhou Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the Wenzhou Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, the Wenzhou Bay New Area Management Committee, the Longwan District Government, and the Yongjia County Government, opened at the Wenzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center. Yongjia County specifically set up the "Hometown of China's Pumps and Valves" exhibition area, with a total of 126 enterprises from the county participating in the exhibition.

This edition of the exhibition, themed "Empowered by Digital Intelligence, Co-creating and Sharing," not only featured the Wenzhou International Pump and Valve Exhibition but also concurrently hosted the "2023 China (Wenzhou) International Pipeline Technology Exhibition" and the "2023 China (Wenzhou) International Fluid Equipment Exhibition." Focusing on the new landscape of innovative development across the entire pump and valve industry chain, the exhibition presented six thematic pavilions covering a total area of 35,000 square meters. It showcased a wide range of products from upstream to downstream industries, including valve categories and supporting products, as well as intelligent valve control systems, establishing a platform for business and supply-demand connectivity in the pump and valve industry. This initiative effectively met the one-stop procurement needs of visitors for pump and valve products.
As the leading pillar among Yongjia County's four traditional industries, the pump and valve sector stands as the only specialized industrial cluster in the province's 26 mountainous counties to surpass the 300-billion-yuan threshold. In recent years, the county has consistently prioritized digital transformation as a key driver for the high-end development of the pump and valve industry, rigorously implementing the upgraded version of the "No. 1 Project" for the digital economy. This year, the county has accelerated the transformation and upgrading of the pump and valve industry, actively seizing the opportunity to include it in the province's pilot program for digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises. This has comprehensively advanced the digital and intelligent upgrading of the pump and valve industry, with 115 digital and intelligent transformation projects already initiated. Looking ahead, the county will vigorously implement the "No. 1 Development Project" for innovation and quality enhancement in the digital economy and the "415X" advanced manufacturing cluster cultivation project. It remains steadfast in advancing the "Industrial Strengthening of the County" strategy, further optimizing the "one core, two wings" industrial layout, and accelerating the formation of two 100-billion-yuan-level industrial clusters encompassing both "traditional and emerging" sectors.
During the opening ceremony, the unveiling ceremony for the Wenzhou Polytechnic Intelligent Pump and Valve Industry College (in preparation) was held, the Wenzhou Pump and Valve Industry Development Plan and Policies were released, and the commissioning ceremony for the nation's first intelligent technological transformation production line for pumps and valves, along with the Zhejiang Provincial Pump and Valve Supply Chain Platform, and a centralized signing ceremony took place.
